Every time we need more programs that help us in the day to day, to make things easier for us; and if we do not know how to control these programs, we can find a slow Windows start. If you want to know which program is slowing down the start of your computer we will help you.
What programs slow down the boot of your computer?
Normally a Windows user must wait a minute or two for the computer to start completely but in some cases it exceeds this stipulated time and it becomes exasperating. Especially when the months pass and the computer every time it takes longer to start.
That is why we are going to recommend you how to know which programs slow down the boot of your computer and what you have to do to solve it.
Starting the computer with programs that start in parallel is very useful to save time, but too many programs can negatively affect and affect performance.
As the months go by, more and more programs are loaded at the beginning of Windows, executing unnecessary services and processes. In some cases even without our permission because when we have installed X program, we have added “extra services” without our consent or without having noticed the addition to our system.
There are several procedures that can be followed to remedy it. Normally there are usually two or three programs that we do not have to use constantly and that is why from ComputerHoy we are going to help you in this process. The best part is that by modifying this process you will be able to accelerate the start of Windows:
The first thing you should do is go to the desktop and open the icon: Start.
Then we have to write “msconfig” in the box, as we see in the image, and access it.
Once the “system configuration” box opens, we must access “Windows Start”.
When we have opened Windows Start we will see the programs that we have or have been configured to boot with the start of your computer.
Disable one or more programs and then click: Accept.
Finally, a “System Configuration” box will appear asking you to restart the computer to apply these changes. We press restart only when we are ready for it. Obviously we recommend that you make these changes with the other programs disabled to avoid problems.
Try not to disable all programs, especially those you do not know; since you can be throwing rocks at your own roof. Some of these programs can be from the operating system or main drivers such as sound and when you deactivate them, you can cause the start of your PC to slow down.
Therefore, we recommend that if you do not have located the program that you are going to disable, look for it on the internet to find out if it is: antivirus, a driver or simply a program that tells you the temperature it makes in the room. If it is the last option and slows down your computer a lot, then it is evident that you must disable it. If it is one of the first two options, then we recommend that you do not do so in order not to deconfigure your equipment or leave it unprotected.
